My little brother is turning seven on the first week of October, and he requested that I write him a story for his birthday. Specifically, the story has to be about a dog and a cat who meet in the woods, become friends, and go on adventures. I've already started writing, and you can find the first part of it here: [link] I've got the whole story planned out: later episodes involve Dog trying to find a seven-mile-long measuring tape, Cat and Dog going out for sushi, and Dog trying to blast off in a rocket to the moon (which fails horribly, but Cat saves the day with some clever thinking and quick painting), among other things.

So, here's the thing: I would really love the story to have illustrations. I don't have time to draw all the illustrations AND write AND keep up with homework, so I'm turning the stage over to you, oh metaphorical reader. If any of you would be willing to contribute a single illustration (or more, if you feel so inclined), I would totally be willing to repay in reviews/commissions/whatever else you feel like demanding from me. Drawings, finger paints, sculptures, stick figures, reenactments using models--whatever your creative medium, I would be thrilled if you helped me out.
